Jeremiah turned one year old on May 14th, 2009!! Some of these pics were taken at his day care, on his birthday, where they threw him a wonderful "Sesame Street themed" party. His day care teachers are so sweet! The other pics were taken the next day (May 15th) when we had 72 people (including two-thirds of my first grade class!) over to our backyard to for his big birthday bash/baby dedication (by a family friend, Pastor Winn). God preformed a miracle right before our eyes and held off the rain for us. There wasn't a single drop of rain during the entire party! God is so good in so many ways and for so many reasons. During this special and joyous time, we took a chance to thank Him specifically for our precious son!!!
Jeremiah is wearing his birthday shirt from Grammy Stults!
Jeremiah's day care teachers threw him such a wonderful "Sesame Street" party, where he got to chow down on chicken nuggets, cheetos, and a juice box for the very first time, all of which he loved!!! He also enjoyed the birthday cookies I made for him and his friends. They were a hit!
When he got home from day care, Jeremiah got to enjoy some white birthday cake, although by that time he was pretty tired, and didn't actually eat much of it!
Look at all of those toys! Burried in the pile is a puzzle and $50 savings bond from Grammy and Grampy Stults. The horse that he is riding on is from G-ma and G-pa Gerdes. He loves all of his fun toys!
He loves his piano from Mommy and Daddy, and actually picked it out himself!
Mommy's baby is a big 1-year-old now!
Here's a close-up of his birthday shirt and crown. What a special day!
The day after his birthday, we threw Jeremiah a HUGE birthday party at our house. It was supposed to rain, so we set up five huge tents (borrowed from friends). Miraculously, even though it rained all day, and the forecast called for thunderstorms, it did not rain a drop during the actual party. God is good! We had a great turn-out of 72 people! I wish I could post pics of my first graders (two-thirds of my class attended!), but I can't because of privacy issues/laws. :( Bummer!
